This quiz presents a word in a sentence with multiple choice meanings of the word. That helps students get comfortable with the format of vocabulary questions on ACT^®* & SAT^®* tests. Students reading this book, should be somewhat familiar with most the top-ranked words chosen for the quiz. The quiz acts to reinforce words students don't know well while introducing a handful of new words. Avid readers might be better served by the extra credit quiz.
