Notes:
The Golden Rule is encouraged by all the world’s major faiths and in secular teachings. It is best known in the western world from Jesus’ words in Matthew 7:12 in the New Testament of the Bible:

"So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets."
