SQL structured-query-language
Notes:
As relational databases have become the standard for large databases, this non-procedural language (often pronounced  by saying the letters "SQL" or "see qwill") has become the standard way of communicating with them. Although SQL is a standard, various vendors have added their own enhancements to a common language subset.
