The 4.75in laser-encoded optical discs have capacities that range up to 1GB, but most are about 650MB (over 250,000 pages).

The disc is almost the same as the music CD upon which it was based. Music CD players cannot play CD ROM discs, but most CD-ROM players can play music CDs.
