Martin Luther

Martin Luther was dismayed at atrocities committed in his name during the Peasants’  War.
  German theologian who led the Reformation and deeply influenced the doctrines of Lutheran, Protestant and other Christian traditions with his belief that salvation comes from personal faith (not deeds) and does not require mediation from the church (1483-1546)
