Induction has many reasonably common, but highly diverse senses. Accordingly, it is generally recommended that you just learn the sense (or senses) that currently interest you.

Note that mathematical induction is not a form of inductive reasoning. Mathematical induction is a form of deductive reasoning.  (retrieved 9/25/08)

Standard suffix:  The suffix, "-tion" converts the verb induce to a noun.
