Since there are so many reasonably common, but highly diverse senses of dispose, it is generally recommended that you just learn the sense (or senses) that currently interest you.

It may help you to remember the various senses of dispose and its other forms such as disposition, if you remember that all the senses have to do with getting rid of (or using something) or being inclined to do something.
