  • Harry hastily dropped his gaze to his potion, which was now congealing foully and giving off a strong smell of burned rubber.
  • Hagrid’s hair was matted with congealed blood and his left eye had been reduced to a puffy slit amid a mass of purple and black bruising.
  • Hagrid hastily removed the dragon steak from his face, which in Harrys opinion was a mistake, because the black and purple bruising all around his eye was now clearly visible, not to mention the large amount of fresh and congealed blood on his face.
