accessory — as in:  accessory to a crime

He was charged with being an accessory to the crime.
someone who helps another person commit a crime (or evade the law), but does not actually take part in the crime

More commonly, accessory refers to something added to make something else better such as earrings to match an outfit or a wall mount for a television.
