epilogue — as in:  the novel’s epilogue

The novel’s epilogue summarized their lives after the marriage.
an afterward or concluding passage added at the end of a literary work — often to summarize events occurring many years after the main story ends
epilogue — as in:  the play’s epilogue

My favorite epilogue is from Shakespeare’s The Tempest.
a short speech addressed directly to the audience by an actor at the end of a play — often in verse
