articulate — as in:  articulate her ideas

He is thoughtful and articulate.
clearly expressed with words; or the act of or ability to clearly express with words

Closely related, but less common senses of the word include:
  • to speak distinctly — as in "After the stroke, she had to learn to articulate her consonants."
  • to say aloud — as in "She articulated what everyone was thinking."


Less common senses that are not closely related concern joints:

  • formed with joints to allow movement — as in "The articulated bus can be longer without requiring a wider turning radius."
  • movement at a joint — as in "Can she fully articulate the joint?"
